Brett Steenbarger
(speaking on "How Traders Can Become Their Own Therapists") In recent years, psychologists have developed techniques for accelerating emotional and behavioral change.  These methods, collectively known as brief therapies, allow people to make changes in days and weeks that normally would have occurred over months and years of therapy.  In this presentation, active trader Dr. Steenbarger will draw upon years of teaching and over 50 peer-reviewed publications to explain how brief therapies work and how traders can utilize these techniques to improve their trading results.  Among the topics to be covered are hands-on techniques for mastering performance anxiety, negative thinking and depression, impulsive behavior, and anger.  A special segment of the workshop will focus on techniques for getting into the trading "zone".  Drawing upon actual case studies, Dr. Steenbarger will show traders how they can become their own therapists by employing brief therapy techniques to interrupt and shift problem patterns.
